Former Navy Seal, Rourke Denver, Dr. Bob Briggs, Mike Wheaton and Kipper represented Team Web Welder.
For the second year in a row, Web Welder sponsored the annual Tee It Up for Veterans Golf Tournament by donating the development and management of the organization’s website, social media marketing, supporting a golf team and sponsoring a hole for the $10,000 shootout. This year, the tournament took place at King’s Deer Golf Club in Monument, Colorado and was geared toward raising funds to help send a dozen veterans with combat experience on a 5-day outdoor retreat on the Western Slope in August.
The event was a huge success attracting over 140 golfers – mostly veterans and veteran advocates who came to support Tee It Up for Veterans’ effort to raise funds and awareness for combat veterans – many of whom have some-type of combat-related trauma.

Web Welder, along with support from one of its community partners – Helping Heroes, is coordinating the retreat which will include horseback riding, a rodeo, hiking, shooting competitions, fishing, and other outdoor activities to be hosted at Little Creek Ranch in Collbran, Colorado with various events taking place in Fruita, Colorado. Little Creek Ranch owner, Alan Baier, a Vietnam-era Army veteran, is excited to host the event.
A special thanks goes out to Marti Crockett, the founder and tournament director for Tee It Up for Veterans. Her time and effort to make this a successful event was second-to-none. Aside from her time raising money to help veteran causes, Crockett is the newly elected president for the United Veterans of Colorado (UVC). Now in its 51st year, the UVC acts as one voice for all Colorado veterans and the leader for advocacy and legislative efforts for all the veterans service organizations in the state.
Next year, Tee It Up for Veterans will conduct a golf tournament to benefit another one of Web Welder’s community partners – The Honor Bell Foundation. The Honor Bell Foundation’s mission is to create a community of veterans to foster public appreciation of military service and honor their fellow veterans with a proper, final tribute.
